This privacy policy explains how VocAlert, developed by bcsoft, handles your personal data.
In short
Your data stays on your device. The app does not store the content you create on our servers. If you use backup, data goes only to the cloud account you choose (for example your own Google Drive).
Data stored on your device
- Voice recordings and their transcriptions
- Reminders, alarms and notes you create
- Contact groups, credit/debt records and medication tracking data
- Saved locations and location-reminder settings
None of this is sent to our servers.
Permissions and why they are needed
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Microphone | To record voice notes. Recording happens only when you start it. |
| Notifications | To show reminders and alarms |
| Contacts | So you can set reminders for a specific person. Your contacts are not uploaded. |
| Location | For location-based reminders such as "remind me when I leave home" |
| Background location | So location reminders work while the app is closed |
| Calendar | Optionally turning calendar events into reminders |
| Exact alarm | So alarms ring at exactly the time you set |
| Storage | To create and restore backup files |
All permissions are optional; a feature you do not grant simply will not work.
Backups
If you use the backup feature, your data is written either to a file on your device or to your own Google Drive account. We cannot access those backups.
Speech to text
Transcription uses your device's own speech recognition. During this process the privacy policy of your device manufacturer (Google/Apple) applies.
The only data that reaches us: support messages
If you write to us from the in-app contact section, your name, e-mail, message, app version, device model and IP address are sent to our server so we can answer you. This information is not shared or sold.
Deleting your data
Removing the app deletes all your data from the device. To have your support messages deleted, write to info@bcsoft.tr; we comply within 30 days.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from that age group.
