This privacy policy explains how ViDiary, developed by bcsoft, handles your personal data.
In short
Your data stays on your device. The app does not store the content you create on our servers. If you use backup, data goes only to the cloud account you choose.
Data stored on your device
- Videos, photos, audio recordings and diary texts you create
- Your mood entries, activities, goals and important days
- People you tag and location information
- Content you place in the hidden vault
None of this is sent to our servers.
AI features — important
If you choose to use the AI features (automatic title, summary, commentary, "ask your past" chat), the relevant diary content is sent to Google's Gemini service for processing. Google's own privacy policy then applies.
- These features depend on your consent
- You can turn them off in settings; the rest of the app keeps working fully
- If you enter your own API key, requests go through your own account
Permissions and why they are needed

All permissions are optional.
Cloud backup
If you use backup, your data is uploaded to the account you choose (Google Drive or your own server). If you enable backup encryption, files are encrypted on your device; only you know the password and we cannot recover it if lost.
Shared journals
If you choose to share a journal, the shared content becomes accessible to the people you invite. You can end sharing at any time.
The only data that reaches us: support messages
If you write to us from the in-app contact section, your name, e-mail, message, app version, device model and IP address are sent to our server so we can answer you. This information is not shared or sold.
Deleting your data
Removing the app deletes all your data from the device. To have your support messages deleted, write to info@bcsoft.tr; we comply within 30 days.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from that age group.
